Great Men Develop Their Character Inwardly

I began to realize that I was acting like those I was around, and the mark of great men is that they develop their character inwardly, not from those around them.

If they cannot do that, they seek out other great men to be around.

Many Corporations Are Drug Dealers

Coffee shops deal in caffeine,
Social media in dopamine,
Gyms in creatine,
Banks in money on a screen,
Food companies in sugar,

Deterioration Is Creation

Deterioration is not the opposite of creation. They are one and the same. New matter cannot form if old matter does not deteriorate, and our illusions of new matter somehow being separate from the old are fallacious and completely invented.

Are we in the darkness of the gloom

It depends on how you look at it.

Do Dead Men Speak?

Do dead men speak? Jesus certainly does. So do the ancient stoics and their cynic companions. As do Heraclitis, Plato, Bashō, Nietzsche, Lao Tzu, Aristotle and Rumi.

Their thoughts echo through time. He who embraces change will live forever through his words.

Giving Is Receiving

By receiving a gift, you are, in truth, giving. You are giving gratitude.

In the same way, by giving, you are, in truth, receiving. You are receiving gratitude.

Ground Everything in Reality

The mission should be to ground everything in reality. Even the mystical.

The mystical can remain mysterious while having a footing in the truth. That’s the funny thing. Being obscure, complex, or transcendent does not invalidate something’s truth. Psychedelics are a great example of a catalyst to the mysterious whose underpinnings are deeply rational and truthful.

The essence of the psychedelic experience is, well… psychedelic! And it is very mysterious. That is an irrefutable truth. So mystery is irrefutable.

Tolerance Is Neutral

I believe that tolerance, in and of itself, is a neutral value (as in, not bad or good). Strangely, though, the meaning of “tolerance” has been obfuscated and distorted in a very odd political manner.

When the Bees Arise

When the bees arise to do their daily work they think not of the flowers that sprout for them.

Transcend the Boundaries of Reality

You must constantly transcend the limits of the unknown to strengthen yourself against the world around you and ensure a better future. Do not succumb to fallow acceptance. Think of Nietzsche’s tightrope walker, standing on the steps of the grand canyon, overlooking God’s great, laughing, sunrise set against the pale green-brown of plants and shrubs, and the red, orange, yellow, and ochre of tones stone below.
